The Royal College of Nursing states that the purpose of RCN accreditation is to promote best practice and to contribute to public and patient safety by ensuring access to quality-assured learning initiatives that support nursing and health care delivery.
The RCN accredits learning and development initiatives for a diverse range of clients who want to guarantee that their initiatives are up to date, of the highest quality, effective in educating nurses and the wider health care family, and promote best practice.
Accreditation involves peer review by expert representatives drawn from clinical, management and educational fields of practice who have the appropriate professional background and experience.
Designed to help both nurses wishing to transition in to primary care nursing and employers looking to train newly recruited staff, our Practice Nurse Training course is a practical face to face way to introduce registered nurses to practice nursing. Delivered over three consecutive days by practice nurses and expert speakers. Providing theory and skills led sessions we include teaching on ear irrigation, travel health, child immunisations and adult vaccinations.
